Print Production Generalist

Looking for a Jack of all trades!

As a Generalist, you will jump in wherever needed: running machines, packing products, cleaning the shop, and keeping our production flowing smoothly. A flexible attitude and a willingness to learn all aspects of the printing business are required.

What you'll do

• Operate Print & Bindery Equipment: Run and monitor digital presses (like our Konica Minolta), perfect binders (Horizon BQ-270), saddle stitchers, laminators (gloss and matte), foilers, and cutters.
• Product Assembly: Collate book blocks, trim stacks, and assist in the production of manga, light novels, comics, and doujinshi.
• Order Fulfillment: Box, pack, and prepare finished web-to-print orders for shipping.
• Shop Maintenance: Keep the workspace safe, clean, and organized (sweeping, mopping, taking out recycling/trash, and using cleaning products).
• Inventory Management: Assist with checking and organizing our stock of paper, laminates, and other print supplies.

Basic Qualifications

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 or older due to the mature nature of some of the content we may potentially print.
• Experience: No prior experience is required, if we need you to run a machine, you'll be trained on the equipment as necessary. That being said, previous print-shop, bindery, or general production experience is always a plus.
• Adaptability: A great team player who is ready to switch tasks quickly depending on the day's production schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating machinery and collating books.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull heavy boxes of paper and finished products (up to 75 lbs).

Hours & Schedule

• Occasional / On-Call: This is an "occasional" job type. Hours are entirely dependent on how much business comes in during a given week. Depending on our production queue, you may be needed for 0 hours one week and up to 20 hours the next.
• Extreme Flexibility: We operate with a very flexible scheduling model. Essentially, we will reach out as needed and ask, "Hey, are you available today?"
